The release of the Mate 30 and Mate X by Huawei are imminent at this point, as the new flagships from the company that will be sold along with devices belonging to the P line of product like the Huawei P30, P30 Lite and P30 Pro.

However, the big news about these new devices from the Chinese company has to do with the software, since despite the fact that they will be running Android, when they get released globally no versions will include Google Play Store or any sort of Google apps installed, which can be a boomer some users and an advantage for others.

Of course, this situation is related to the ban carried out by Donald Trump administration on Huawei a few months ago, where he prohibited any company from the United States to make business with the Chinese enterprise.

Details about Google´s software on the new Mate lineup

Specifically, the new Mate 20 and Mate X by Huawei will not be including any sort of Google´s software in them, apart from the operating system that is actually Android with Huawei’s Emui skin on top.

So, while both devices will be running the mobile platform promoted by Google since 10 years now, Play Store will not be installed and Google apps, such as Gmail, YouTube, Google Maps, Google Drive, Google Keyboard and other software will not be presented.

Of course, since Android is more open in comparison to other mobile operating systems like iOS, it is actually possible for users to download Google APKs from the apps and run the Play Store, although this will be unofficial and without support.

The release of the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate X as the foldable phone from the company is expected to be on September and October respectively, in order to compete directly with Apple’s new iPhones.
