On April 15th 2020, Apple released their new iPhone SE 2 model as direct successor of the First Generation iPhone SE, as a device from which shares at least some of the same approach in some way, but way better implemented for many according to different reviews and features of the phone in general, and of course considering a key factor respecting this new phone from Apple; its price.
Starting at 399 dollars in the United States, for the first time Apple attempt to face competitors in the midrange and even budget segment of the mobile market, specifically against Samsung, Huawei and other Chinese companies like Xiaomi, Realme and Oppo with outstanding devices that offer great performance for very competitive prices. Of course, all of these phones run Android and that another key difference in comparison to the iPhone SE 2.
For many, the price tag on the latest phone released by Apple is not competitive enough, with 399 dollars for the 64 GB model considered excessive if compared with phones running Android of the same cost.
However, the strength in Apple´s bet with the iPhone SE 2 relies on something imperative; the microprocessor included in the phone, being no other than the A13 Bionic that power the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, for at least half the price.
This means state-of-the-art performance on a 4.7 inch 720p display that will probably make iOS 13 run like butter on this processor, which by the way is a LCD panel. In terms of construction, the iPhone SE 2 is built on the same chassis as the 4.7 inch iPhone 8 released two years ago, but with a cheaper price tag, a top of the line CPU, better camera and support for at least 5 years in terms of software.
